Walking for a good cause: 24th March 2024

We are immensely proud of our players for any of their achievements or commitments in or outside of the sport. Last year held numerous classes for Adaptive and Inclusive Judoka and it was immensely successful for everyone involved – one of our players Kagan Barker, helped out our Head Coach Dave Quinn weekly to support more individuals from the community to try Judo. Kagan has organised something very special to help with funds to support this class.

Getting the steps in!

As you may have heard through club emails, Kagan has organised for this 24th March 2024 a sponsored walk to hope to raise the much-needed funds to continue our running of Inclusive classes. Kagan has been supporting our head coach to guide these individuals to learn new skills and have fun whilst learning valuable attributes like balance, stamina, fitness and basic terminology too.

Where are you walking to?

Leaving our United Dartford Judo Club in St Vincent’s Church Hall, Temple Hill we will be walking from 10 am sharp all the way over to Bexley Club, on Bourne Road. This walk will be almost four miles, which for Kagan’s height of 5”1 is approximately 10k steps. Blimey!

A comment from Kagan...

“The inclusive individuals are wonderful people and deserve a chance just like any other. Including judo. “
