Let the awards commence...
It was on November 2nd (2024) at the Slate in Coventry. United Judo took coaches Dave Quinn, Chris Ronayne and Ciaran Dubock along to help support our amazing judokas Siobhan Lloyd, Kagan Barker and Scott Wilson. Also joining us was Jeanette (Scott’s mum) and club fundraising specialist Celina Quinn.
A word from our judoka Siobhan Lloyd:
“I had the privilege of being invited to an awards night via my head coach as my club was nominated as a finalist for an award around inclusivity it was a great night I thoroughly enjoyed it I’ve never been to a fancy event such as this one felt like I was in a movie lol 😂
There were three finalists and only 1 winner to pick for the inclusion award with the nominees being announced and describing the stories behind each nominee and what they have contributed to help their inclusive judokas
United won the award which was fantastic and quite something in fact emotional for everyone but huge credit to the founder of the club Dave and the other club coaches to the very volunteer staff itself for being the wonderful people you are to help so many at the club
Dave of course had to have all the bling from the Paris Paralympic GB VI team as there ain’t no coach like the Elvis who is the star of the club
congratulations team United whoop whoop ⭐️👏”
A huge well done
We’d like to take this time to say thank you to EVERYONE who makes United Judo such a successfully welcoming club for ALL individuals combined across multiple different areas in Bexley and Dartford.
